Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

My sister and I have had to go through the probate process so many times for friends and family. We were wondering if we could legally start charging people to help them complete their paperwork with the disclosure that we are NOT giving actual legal advice. Is it possible to do this and avoid legal liability? All we would be doing is helping in the supply and completion of probate documents for submission to the City and County. The reason that we're seeking to do this on our own is, when we initially tried to do the documents with the assistance of a lawyer, we were charged exorbitant fees but yet he/she did NOTHING that we didn't end up doing ourselves.

Practicing law without a licesnse is a crime in Michigan. If this is considered that, you would be well advised to not continue with your business idea. Check with the state bar association. Kliszlaw.com. Tim Klisz
