You lied to your mother, but who is it really hurting? Chances are, it's not her.

Anyway, check the laws in your state. If the age of statutory rape is 16, then there's no crime.

What there is, is a large age difference from which your mother is trying to protect you.

There's nothing unusual about men liking teenage girls. After all, they are more likely to be seen as important and have someone who doesn't know much about the world at their disposal.

But, what's in it for you that you feel it's better to lie to your family?

In a year or so, you can do what you want, but while you're living with your parents, surely you can respect their reasonable rules for another plus/minus 12 months!

Sorry for being preachy, but then again, maybe it's helpful to hear it from someone on GP, who doesn't know how mature you think you are or how wonderful he is or anything of the sort.
