The best way to get this answer is to call your county's child support office and ask to speak to a child support officer about paternity cases. Each county has its own policies and procedures. It will also depend on the facts of your case. If the other party cooperates, a DNA test can be done quickly. If the other party does not cooperate, it can take much longer.
