Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Minnesota

If someone were to break into my house, and I took action, say shooting them, what would be the consequences on my part? And what would happen to the person who broke into my house?

The answer depends on the nature of the threat that was presented which would require an analysis of the totality of circumstances at the time. You may only use reasonable force to protect your self or your property.
