Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Minnesota

My neighbors dad cut some branches from a small tree that is on my property, but some branches are handing over their fence. He cut them some of the branches without consulting us first. When we got him we saw that he had put all the branches he cut on our property. Are we responsible for the removal of those branches? We were not asked nor we we aware that this was going to be done.

The neighbor may trim any branches that hang ove rthe property line without consultation.
