Legal Question in Family Law in Mississippi

Wife cheating, but wants child

My wife is committing adultery and diverting family funds to things she is doing in her affair. In the process, she has picked up a sexually transmitted disease. I believe that her actions reflect that she is not thinking properly. What do I need to do to increase the odds of me getting custody or part custody of our four year old son? And is what she is doing now going to be held against her as far as custody goes? Lastly what type of documentation is needed to prove and affair?

Proof of adultry is hard to get, but a sure thing (just about) to show the court that you should have custody assuming you can meet the child's basic needs.

The first thing to do is to preserve all evidence of the affair and if possible the identity of the paramour. Retain an attorney and possibly a private investigator. Protect your assets by moving them out of your wife's reach. Also, consult with psychologist and your minister. If you are constantly acting in your son's best interest, it is very probable that you will receive paramount custody of your son or at least joint custody.
