Legal Question in Business Law in Missouri

Subject

We are looking for information about a Mechanic Lien to incorporate this into our Bid proposals/Contracts I would like to view an actual Mechenics Liean. I would like to have the customer sign a copy of acknowledgement stating they have read and understand the terms of this lien, we are a small company but, we are about to jump in size of our operation and we are looking at getting into projects reaching into the six digit figure, we are wanting to cover us in any way we can regarding payment/collecting. We would appreciate any help in this matter, any forms we could add into our contract. Thank You

You can certainly find a form to do the trick. You should be aware, however, that there are more concerns here than just getting the language from a form will cover! Speaking to a knowledgeable attorney and advising him about your business goals and such will be cheaper now than trying to perfect liens and chase payments will later.

That being said, make sure to include attorney fees into your lien perfection language, and an arbitration clause if you really want to speed things up.
