Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Missouri

garnishment

my daughter signed my name on a student loan and now they are garnishing my check. I tried to talk to her about paying some of my money back and it seems like she just wants to garnish my check and she does what ever she wants with her money and I feel that she should carry her own weight because she was grown when she done that. can you please give me some kind of advise.

Re: garnishment

You daughter committed the crime of forgery. You can't threaten her with criminal prosecution because that is a crime also. So you either file a criminal complaint, sue her in civil court, or do something else. But you will need to talk to an attorney if you want to find out all the details of your options.
