Re probate laws

My Grandmother passed away last month my uncle is legal rep. my dad and 4 grandchildren have received letters from the circuit court listing us as heirs. Is there a way to get a copy of the will?

If you do nto get a copy from the Personal Representative, you can ask that they send you one. If not, you can possibly purchase acopy from the probate court. You can find contact telephone number for most Circuit probate courts online.

Yes. Once filed, the Will is a matter of public record. Perhaps the lawyer handling the Estate will provide you with a copy. If not, try calling the Probate Court clerk's office for one. If neither of these ideas work, try hiring a local lawyer. It might be a good idea to have one in any event.
