Legal Question in Workers Comp in Missouri

Back Injury

A year and a half ago my husband got injured at work. He fell off of a truck and landed on his back. He had to go through extensive electorshock therapy. He has had problems with his back ever since. But never went to the doctor over it until just recently. The pain got so bad that he couldnt even walk. I had to end up taking him to the emergency room. Is there any way that we can make his old employer pay for his medical expenses? If it wasnt for him falling we wouldnt have this problem. Can you help me on this matter. Thank you in advance for you help.

Re: Back Injury

If your husband reported the injury near the time it happened, there should not be much question that his employer must pay for necessary treatment. There will be argument, I suspect, as to the nature of the treatment required, and that will most likely require an attorney.

There may be other avenues to pursue as well. Who owned the truck? What caused him to fall? If someone other than his company is at fault for his injuries, they can also be held accountable.
