Hi. In some instances, an employer can refuse to allow you your original position back, particularly in situations where the job may require physical activities that may exceed any restrictions that you have been given by a doctor. Has your employer provided you any reasons, in writing or orally, for not securing your original position? Have you been released back to work yet, and, if so, have you been released to "full duty" or "light duty"? Is your injury one that has left you with any long-term effects or restrictions? A few additional details are necessary. Also, you should know that, under the Missouri workers' compensation statute, you are entitled to several types of benefits, as a result of your injury. At this point, you should be receiving payment for all days that you are missing from work due to your injury.
