Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

My ex-husband had filed a motion and his lawyer has mailed it to me. Within the time that I have received it, I was not given the consideration of time to respond. Am I given an extended "grace period"? What are my options?

The time to respond is ten days from date of service -- and the rules for figuring the timing can be fairly complicated. Your best bet is to hire competent counsel. If you can't or won't, consider contacting your ex's attorney and indicate you just it and the time to hearing is inadequate, and ask for the hearing to be continued; failing cooperation, show up and tell the judge the time sequence, and ask for time to respond.
