Legal Question in Consumer Law in New Jersey

lying to get a contract signed

My husband and I signed a contract with a home food delivery company who convinced us to purchase their freezer - the goods actually provided by the company were not what was promised. we have paid off the food portion and have paid off a large sum on the freezer and asked them to stop billing and consider it paid in full. We protested the issue of product purchased from day 1 and got no real recourse or help from the company other than ''free food'' which was actually what we thought we had contracted for. We asked for a pay off amount for the freezer and weren't given one. Do we have any legal right to not pay what they are saying we still owe''';the company continues to lie and avoid any and all contact made even by mail. Is a contract legally binding when the goods and services promised are not delivered
