You may want to expand your question, if the person is charged with robbery and/or kidnapping which are very serious criminal charges they need to get a lawyer as soon as possible. were you or someone else actually charged with these offenses. The charges would be indictable and you would be prosecuted in the county court. If the alleged victim wanted to drop the charges it would be up to porsecutor to decide if he would agree to dismiss the charges. if this is your situation an attorney would be advisable, please call me to discuss, I never charge a fee to speak to someone about a potential case. Just because the cousin wants to drop the charges does not mean the police have to drop them. This happens all the time. The police can continue with the case if they want, and can try to prosecute the person even without the victim's cooperation. Please contact me to discuss this case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
