Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

I wrote a post dated check to a person I owed money to 2 yrs ago. It was post dated a week. He just signed a complaint for a bad check against me. can that be done ?

It depends upon the dollar amount of the check. If it is under $200.00 then he has one year after the bad check was written to file a complaint.
