Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

If your name is on a child's birth certificate, does that mean an acknowledgement of paternity was established? I know I am the father, but don't recall signing papers at the hospital.

the birth certificate does not necessarily nail this down, and there are some other issues to deal with.
