Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Qdro/prfs pension

Hi, was divorced in January. How long does it take for the QDRO/PFRS to be completed after divorce? Is there a timeline it has to be done by? Also, am still technically ''represented'' by my divorce atty until that is complete? Thank you.

I strongly suggest that you contact the attorney who represented you in the divorce.

Re: Qdro/prfs pension

the Order is the court's order to make the pension plan comply with the agreement concerning division of the pension. until the proper Order is entered, the pension is not finished and done being distributed. could be a huge and serious problem for you or your ex, or both. get it done.

your divorce lawyer will charge you to do this, but you should get it done. you could hire another divorce attorney to finish it, of course.
