statue of limitation on collection on a civil law suit

i was sued 20 years ago by a new jersey casino for a credit line that i used and did not pay them back,twnty years later they are still after me sending subpoena requests to my bank accounts and also my wife ,accounts. should i respond to them or ignore it hoping the time has elapsed.

What happens in Vegas does NOT stay in Vegas.

You should not ignore this. You should consult an attorney ASAP. Sounds like they got a judment and it is on your credit, which you can check at annualcreditreport.com and other sites. Talk to an atttorney about any claims you may have and any defenses, what to do to protect yourself, etc. Good luck.

There is an extendable twenty year period to collect a judgment. I would suggest that you consult a bankruptcy lawyer. You can protect your house. The judgement has been collecting annual, variable interest all these years and probably has double, at least.
