Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

Job Application Information Disclosure

A little over a year ago I had applied for a law enforcement postion in the federal government. Being the honest person that I am, I had disclosed experimenting with illegal drugs in college on my job application. I was wondering if this information would likely turn up, be considered, or be legally disclosed to other possible employers (law-enforcement or not) during a pre-hiring background check. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
