Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

Job assignments that were previously exclusive to certain job titles (i.e. Accountant, Auditor and Investigator) are now required to be completed by staff that are compensated $20k to $40k less. The persons receiving the higher salaries are all Caucasian but I am African-American. The duties and responsibilities are all the same and in some cases I am required to shoulder a greater workload (which I can verify in writing).

We I questioned why I was being held to the exact same responsibilites as those being compensated more than I, the response was because I didn't have a college degree and therefore could not be granted any of these titles or fair compensation. I believe that it is unfair to be held to the same set of standards, responsibilities and duties as my co-workers and not reasonably compensated.

I have filed compliants with the CWA Union, the NJ Civil Service Commission, and several within the division where I am employed. No one seems to want to hear the situation so I am forced to pursue this matter in court.
