Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

Retired police from NJ.

I'm a retired police officer who retired on a accidental disability pension from the state of NJ. I'm 32 years old, seeking a law enforcement position outside the state, possibly in NY or at the Federal Level of policing.

My question: is it possible that the state of NJ attempt to default my pension collection, due to gaining another police position outside the state of NJ or at Federal Level.

Re: Retired police from NJ.

It seems both plausible and possible that they would, although much depends on the terms of your settlement.
