Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

Locks as they apply to real estate

Is it possible to ''lease'' a building lock or lock ''system''(group of locks) to an owner/renter of a building? I once read somewhere that once a lock is affixed to a door, it becomes part of the ''real estate''.

I do not really understand your question. If you want to take the locks with you when you leave, you may want to simply have a paragraph in the lease that says you may do so. If your goal is something else, please contact me to discuss.
