Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey
I am married living separate from husband - no legal separation paperwork. If I buy a house with someone else in my name - does my husband have any claim of ownership if I sell or die?

The answer is: do not buy a house until you have your divorce situation under control.
I can not tell you what will happen if you buy a house, especially with another person, before you take care of this. Your soon-to-be exhusband may make a claim against the house, may cause you problems if you want to sell, and may claim from your estate if you die. You do not want to take the risk that the person who is buying the house with you can get stuck because of your problem.
