Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

My mother past away three years ago.Her house was sold 6 months ago.All the money that was in her account was disburssed a few months after she passed. The only money we are waiting for as a beneficiary is the house money. My brother who is the executor wanted to wait until January and see if any taxes had to be paid. That sounded fare although the accountant did not believe any taxes would be do since the house was sold under market value. Now it's march and we have still not recieved our inheritance from the house funds. What rights do I have to demand my funds?

It sounds like you need an attorney to move this matter forward. I suggest sending a letter from an attorney to your brother the executor, demanding that the house proceeds be distributed to all the beneficiaries. If he does not resopond, you have the right to compel an estate accounting to force the distribution.
