Legal Question in Employment Law in New Mexico

Bonus

If I was given a computer from the owner of the company I worked for and was told that it was a bonus because they didn't have a bonus program set up yet & then left my place of employment do they have the right to take it back? I have a copy of an email I sent to them thanking them for it as well as a letter in response from them saying your welcome.

Re: Bonus

If you have a verification that it was considered compensation for work, I think you have a good case that you shouldn't have to return it.

Should you like to discuss this or any other legal matter, you can e-mail me for more information about low cost face-to-face, on-line, or a telephone consultation with a lawyer in our office.
