Donation Can at my store

Hi,

I have a donantion can placed in my store and someone told me that it was ilegal to do so? Is this is true? How can I support my local shelter without a donation can?

The charity or the pro bono legal services they use will be able to answer this question if you don't get a reliable answer here. I would have to research it to tell you for certain, but as long as you are not stealing from the donations it seems like you would be safe.
