Legal Question in Family Law in New York

i have a daughter with my fiance, i want to leave him. he has two trucks both in his name, and one car in both of our names, if i leave him will a judge let me take the car? he paid for it but i am giving my fiance payments so it will eventually be mine. i am a student and work on the weeknds. i can't leave him without having transportation and if i leave he won't let me take it.

You do not a direct legal right to the vehicle. You can sue him for the money you contributed to the vehicle in either small claims or civil court but you should be ready to demonstrate the payments and where the money came from and why you are claiming that it was not just a gift. See an attorney locally for assistance. You might try the Bar Association.
