Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

Untrue Internet Posting

Company A posts on the internet the following about company B ''They were difficult to contact. I left them a number of voice messages but they only got back to me one time, days after I left the voice message, and they were quite rude''. The truth? Company B has 5 emails from Company A that were all answered by the Company B the same day received. Company A finishes the last email by saying ''I appreciate your prompt replies''. Now, when people check out Company B and do an online search they see this posting and it gives an negative impression of the company. What rights does Company B have here?

The first amendment. Unless it is malicious and causes damage there is little that can be done.
