Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

Employer claiming misrepresentation in Interview

My employer laid me off after working with the company for 8 weeks. I filed for UE and they protested my claim, saying I misrepresented myself in my interview. UE denied their request and now they are protesting that, and requesting a hearing. Meanwhile I did not lie in my interview and beat out 11 other candidates to get this job in PR/marketing. I have been on UE but freelancing since December. I need a lawyer for help in this hearing.
