Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York

Late rent payments

My landlord wants to terminate my lease because I have been late with my rent a few times (my error).I was served 4 3 day notices within 12 months but once it crossed in the mail with my payment.Once I purposely withheld rent because they never gave me a lease and once they claimed I owed money I didn't,after verbally admitting they were wrong they are still holding it against me.Also once my rent ''check ''disappeared'' I only went to court once out of 4 servings.I am rent stabilized,I think my landlord purposely built a case against me.how easy is it for him to evict me?What can I do?

Re: Late rent payments

It is extremely difficult for your landlord to evict you. If you have an upcoming non-payment proceeding, I suggest you find a lawyer. If you cannot afford one please call Hudson Valley Legal Aid.
