Sign a release for Army CID to look at yahoo account

Should my son sign a release for the CID to look at his yahoo account? They took his computer while in the hosp. in Sept. an found limewire with a porn movie, now my son has been put on Conv. leave due to the arny doc giving him 4th degree burns from wart removel, (4th is on the tendons) he is in the burn center at vanderbilt hosp. an may only get 20% use of hand again......should he sign or call JAG

No. He should not sign a release because if the CID had a way to get it by subpoena or search warrant they would already have done it. The CID has a duty to prove its case, and your son does not have a duty to assist them.

He should immediately seek counsel from JAG on this issue, and should follow their advice.
