Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

To whom it may concern:

I am writing with a question regarding a speeding ticket. I received one for speeding 71mph in a work zone 55 mph in NYS. I have one prior speeding ticket that was reduced with an online driving course two years ago, also in NYS. Otherwise I have no record whatsoever. I am a physician (a resident), and it is nearly impossible for me to to take an unscheduled day to attend court. What do you think the best options are? Is it worth while to hire a traffic lawyer on my behalf? and if so, what is the best way to choose one, I have no personal references to go by. Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time,

Kelly

Pleading not guilty and requesting a hearing is always recommended. The driver can benefit by having a hearing. More often, however, the ticket can be resolved through the mail with minimal time on your part. Hiring an experienced traffic attorney in the area that understands the use of radar, its accuracy, and the certifications required to use it properly is vital to not only trying to win, but to keep your insurance premiums lower for years to come. Paying a little today may save you two or three times in the future.

Our firm routinely handles these types of issues. We would be happy to help. I would need to review the ticket and see what can be done. Please contact my firm and I would be happy to assist.

You can retain an experienced criminal defense or traffic defense attorney to resolve this matter in your absence with your authorization. I cannot tell from your question how your first case was resolved. Were you convicted or did yiou plead guilty to any charge? Also the fact that this offense was comitted in a work zone will affect the resolution of these charges. I would be happy to have a free phone consultation . Please contact my office@7188340087 .
