Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in North Carolina

we had to report our landlord to the health department for refusing to fix our septic that was backing up into the yard. When they notified her she demanded we leave even though our rent is paid. What can we do?

Landlord has no right to make you leave. Landlord would have to bring a summary ejectment action.
