10 year old Credit Card

I have a 500.00 10 year old credit card that I dont think I owe It I CANT PROVE I DONT Thay cant tell me what I bought just ware its from Thay say they can sue for 500.00 & court cost& A 2050.00 FEE IS THIS TRUE The store has ben closed for more then 6 years He made it sound like papers were on the way WHAT CAN I DO Thanks Ed C.

The credit card company is required to tell you what the basis of the debt is. If they do not tell you the basis of the debt, then you can arrange to have the debt erased. As to the remainder unless the amount is interest, they probably can not add the amount in.
