Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio

''Co-signing for a loan''

I co-signed for a loan a few years ago. The applicant made regular payments until about 6 mo. ago. The loan was 3 mo. behind, I payed the loan current, now again the loan is delinquent. Is there any way I can have the applicant re-finance the loan so my name is removed as co-signer so my credit will not be ruined? If so will the court order this, and what are my cances of winning?

Unfortunately, this is the risk you take when you cosign on a loan. It appears as though you are stuck. You may be able to sue him for the payments you have made.

Good Luck!!!!!!!
