Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Child Support

I have a 17 year old daughter and have been paying child support faithfully for the last 10 years.

I have only 9 months until my daughter is 18. My ex-wife is now threatening to take me to court in order to make me pay child support for the rest of my daughter's life. My daughter is a little mentally slow, but in no way retarded.

Is there any way that my ex can legally do this? This is really bothering me.

We both live in Ohio now, but the child support case is through the state of Montana.

Re: Child Support

Contact a Montana attorney, as it depends on the law of the state that currently has jurisdiction, i.e. Montana, and whether your daughter would be classified as a special needs child.
