Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

I have been married for approx 13 years. Over the years my husbands and my income were fairly equally however I received a promotion in February of this year making 24,000 more a year. My husband left in June and has not paid any type of Child support. He is now stating that if I request any support he will go after me for alimony. How does this work in Ohio

Alimony is very rarely awarded in Ohio. It is usually awarded in cases where there is a long term marriage and the spouse needs some time to train for skills that will allow employment. As far as your case is concerned, I would need more information to give a better answer. Please feel free to contact me Ed DiCato
