Re: understanding legal document

Dear Inquirer: A "Leave" is a formal, but required, request to the Court for permission to do some act or procedure. A Leave to File an Amended Complaint is, therefore, a request for the Court's permission to file a revised or "Amended" complaint, in order to either add new persons or parties, or to add additional counts or claims.

Such leave may be opposed by Counsel, based upon the specific facts or circumstances which seek to prevent or preclude such leave and permissiobn of the Court.

Please seek the guidance of experienced legal counsel to assist you.

Good luck!

Sincerely, J. Norman Stark, Cleveland, OH.
