Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio

P&S from car accident

I have two boys, 14 and 17, they were on their way to football practice aqnd a girl ran a stop sign and t-boned them in the drivers side, my sons car was totalled. One boy had concusion and bruises the other a sprained AC ligament in the right shoulder. The insurance paid for the vehicle so now were discussing pain and suffering. Approx. 1500 - 2000 in medical bills...two weeks no football. There was no physical therapy for either child.

What do you think a ball park $ would be for P&S??

Pain and suffering is an extremely subjective component of damages. Ball park figure is hard to determine without seeing the medical records which would include their complaints, determining what limitations they suffered, and whether they will be any future pain. For example, while some injuries heal and there are no further problems, others will continue to recur with certain events, i.e. weather, turning the wrong way, putting unusual strain on the area. While I could give you a ball park figure, this figure may not be a fair representation of the damages without knowing more information. Also, I would suggest that you wait at least six months after the injuries before settling any claim to see if there are any more physical problems.

Pain and suffering is very subjective. It is very difficult to determine what the recovery will be. I would suggest waiting untill the people are totally recovered and then wait a little bit to make sure that there are no recurring injuries.
