Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio

Statue runs out 11/4/06 - Insurance company suddenly withdrawls promise of offer

I was in an auto accident on 11/4/04. The other party was cited for fault. My insurance company paid the bills in anticipation of settlement. I was off work for 2 months for surgery and am awaiting the settlement from opposing insurance company) to cover loans taken to cover expenses while off work. As of 9/13/06 opposing Insurance company said an 'offer will be on table by 9/24/06'. I told my insurance company to stop paying medical bills and go to aribitration. After some un returned phone calls and speaking to my contact's boss at the opposing insurance company, I discover they have decided to 'scheudule' this for medical review and 'should' get back to me by 10/27/06. My doctor's thruout this process have indicated cause of injury being the original 11/4/04 accident as the problem/pain has only occured since the accident.

Bills are due, statute is looming and they are taking it down to the wire.

What should be my next step?

Your next step should be to contact a personal injury attorney ASAP to get a complaint filed before the statute of limitations runs. Once the statute expires, you will have no recourse.

Your next step, which should have been your first step, is to hire a lawyer. Lawyers dont usually charge any fees up front for these kinds of cases. Injured people usually get more money when they use a lawyer, and the stress of it all is gone, since someone else is now responsible for the claim, and not you. You are about to lose your case altogether, because you thought you were smart enough to handle something that is over your head. Get smarter and hire someone who knows what they're doing. Today.

Your Next Step should be to contact an experienced Accident lawyer as soon as possible! The insurance Co. is playing one of their favorite games. They assure you that they are going to pay you a fair amount as soon as they do a proper evaluation and then they delay to the point that you can either take what they offer or risk getting nothing! An attorney will be able to do what is necessary to get you the time for a proper evalutation. I have been helping injured people for over 30 years and I will be happy to meet with you at your home or a convenient location to answer your questions. No charge or obligation. If you decide that you want me to help you with your case, we will be able to negotiate a fee that will be based on the amount of money that I can get for you. In any event-Your next step should be to contact an attorney directly. The advice that we can give you on this site is limited by our lack of all of the facts and should not be relied on. You need to take advantage of the free advice and contact an attorney directly ASAP!

Good Luck!
