Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

title ownership

I signed the loan for a car for my girlfriend because of her bad credit. She was wanting me to transfer the title to her name. My question is if she passes away do I have any legal rights to the car since I have complete responsibility for the loan, or will her kids inherit the car free and clear?

Re: title ownership

If you transfer title to her, you have no rights to the car if she dies unless her will leave it to you,or your name is on the title as a joiny owner. You could transfer the car to her and put a lien on for yourself to protect the money you are owed, up to the value of the car.
