Legal Question in Criminal Law in Oklahoma

Deferred Sentence

I have a deferred sentence unto 2012. My currenty employer just found out about my deferred sentence. At the time I completed my application I had not been charged with a crime, therefore, I did not lie. I was hired (current employer) in 2005 and court action was taken by my former employer in 2007. Can I be fired?

Re: Deferred Sentence

Yes. In Oklahoma you can be fired for any reason or for no reason at all. Assuming there is not some kind of contract or union involved in the situation.
