Legal Question in Social Security Law in Oklahoma

Social Security Discrimination w/Child Support

I have twins that have cerebral palsy. I also have an ex husband that owes $13000 in child support. I do not pursue his child support b/c any money I collect from him gets taken out of my twins' SSI checks and those checks are more reliable than his child support payments. I think the law that say b/c my children are disabled they are not entitled to their benefits AND their father's support. This is discriminating!!!! Any suggestions on how to get a federal law changed? Even for a peon like me.

Laws are changed through amendments which your congressman can propose. You should contact your congressman if you believe that you have a request for an amendment to existing laws.
