Legal Question in Workers Comp in Oklahoma

Compensation and mileage

I was injured on Nov. 16, 2001 in the neck area. Since February 26,20002 have been on ttd.I was released today with permanent disablity of not lifting over 100 pound and no repetative overhead work. Does Oklahoma law require workmans comp to pay for mileage to and from the doctor and therary? Also what type of cash settlement should I ask for because of possible future medication, treatment, pain, suffering, etc. that will occur in the furture?I am not wanting a lot I just don't want to be cheated. My case worker said she couldn't pay me for mileage and I read on one website that it was a law that mileage was to be paid.

Re: Compensation and mileage

Thank you for your question. Unless the law has changed you are entitled to mileage under certain circumstances. The distance or travel to another city is the key. As for what you are entitled to, that would depend upon what percentage of disability you are rated at. The insurer's doctors are likely to rate you lower than another doctor you would choose. I would be happy to discuss your claim with you (918)744-7440). I believe that you will need to obtain an attorney to get the best settlement. There is no upfront attorney fees and the attorney fee would be based upon making a recovery.
