i have a payday loan company that is calling me not the loan people but someone calling from the legal crime prevention department stating that i owe them money and theat if i dont pay they will file a lawsuit and i could be picked up by the police is this true

No, thats not true. You cannot and will not be picked up by the police for a bad debt. They have no legal crime prevention department as there is no crime here, unless you committed some sort of fraud.
