Legal Question in Consumer Law in Pennsylvania

Autosales to minors

I heard that it is illegal to sell an automobile to a minor, is this true(even if the parent is aware of the sale)?

Re: Autosales to minors

A minor does not have the legal capacity to make a contract. Therefore it would be an unlawful contract that the minor could void.

Re: Autosales to minors

It is per se not illegal, however, the contract would be voidable since minors cannot enter into contracts. However, you could sell the car to the legal guardian or parent and have a legal sale to said party.
