Legal Question in Consumer Law in Pennsylvania

credit card payments

Payments of $30.00 were made to Capital One on a bill for over 3 years and a bill was never received showing the balance.

The computer just deducts from the total. Finally you send a payment according to the computer marked ''paid in Full''.

Do you owe any thing after not hearing from them in over a year from the last check marked PIF?

Can they tack on interest more than the original amount due and never write you to let you know what they are doing.?

Thank you for your answering this email.

Shouldn't they have responded to your last check marked PIF within a reasonable time? Are the allowed to add over $1000.00 of interest and never let you know what the balance was.

Re: credit card payments

Paid in full on a check is gnerally not binding. The companies specifically state all correspondance must go to a specific address. If you are facing a suit the lack of bills mught raise a defense. You should speak with an attorney. I offer free initial consultations.
