Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

money owed to me

Someone purchased items from a fundraiser my daughter doing. She made a check out to me for $45. The check bounced, and the bank charged me $15. I have confronted her and she keeps telling me she is going to pay, but never does. This started back in Sept. 06. What can I do?

Re: money owed to me

Send her a letter by certified mail giving her 30 days to make the check good. If she doesn't do so within the 30 days, take a copy of the check, a copy of the letter and your return mail receipt to the police and have her charged with giving you a bad check.
