you need a lawyer immediately if you are a fugitive and a warrant is out on you. if you are only wanted for questioning with no warrant issued for your arest, you still need to, "lawyer-up",

this type of thing is a real finesse job whereby you may be able to keep your dignity and freedom or you may get hit very hard by prosecutors and eventually a judge.

don't ignore this problem one more day. i always recommend calling the local bar referral for a criminal lawyer who knows the applicable personnel in your area.

keep your girl close and treat her nice from now on. nobody likes woman beaters so let me give you a tip: get her to execute a sworn statement retracting the false allegations which she previously made. she may have to face the consequences of making a false report to authorities but the penalty is lesser than what u r facing.
