Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

I got married on August. 8th 2009, but the JP that married us never signed the paper's till 2-3 days early because the court house was closed when we went to get out marriage license. My husband's father went to a lawyer about a year ago. The lawyer told him that the JP not signing the paper's until 2-3 days later, is a technicality, so that basically we are not married? I was wondering if that was true ?

Pennsylvania doesn't have Justices of the Peace they're Magisterial District Justices. If there is a marriage certificate on file at the court house you're married. Why would your father in law even ask.
